While we are still waiting for the final release of Angular 2 we can already start using typescript in our good old Angular 1.x apps. We can use classes to define controllers or services and leverage other benefits of the newest version of JavaScript throughout our current Angular codebase. In this talk I will demonstrate how to set all this all up. I will also show you how to migrate your existing 1.x applications first to version 1.5 and then run both 1.5 and 2.0 code side-by-side. This allows for creating new features in Angular 2 while still keeping your legacy code. It is your best way forward if you are currently working with an Angular 1 codebase.
